What CapTap does
- An elegant public profile: photo, title, organization, contact details, links and an "Add to contacts" button.
- A physical NFC card, mailed to you and already linked to your account: nothing to set up.
- Always up to date: new job or new number? Edit your page; the card always opens the latest version.
- A personal QR code for every account, free ones included, for phones without NFC and printed documents.
- An accessible mode with maximum contrast, free, for colour blindness and low vision.
What the Android app adds
- Instant opening: hold a CapTap card near the phone, even with the app closed, and the page opens full screen, with no browser to choose.
- "Read a card" screen: the phone looks for CapTap cards only. No system sound or pop-up, no mix-up with a contactless payment, and a vibration confirms the read.
- Reliable reading: a card opens only one page at a time, even if it stays near the phone, and cards programmed with other tools are recognized.
- Premium through Google Play: subscribe in seconds, paid and managed in your Google account, cancel any time.
- Shortcuts: long-press the icon to "Read a card" or open your subscription.
- Always current: the app shows cap-tap.com, so every improvement to the service appears in it right away.
For organizations and professionals
CapTap was designed in Montréal for nonprofits, businesses and freelancers who want a polished image without reprinting cards at every change. One card lasts a whole career, and the organization stays in control of its team's accounts.
